If I'm in Japan right now, I'd probably be at Odaiba's Shiokaze Koen; intently gazing at the ginormous scale model of the Gundam robot. Its eyes light up, smoke comes out from the vents (don't know what to call them), and the head moves too. Truly effing sugoi!!! This is why I sometimes wish I live there. *sigh

It's free for everyone to see. Too bad though because
it'll be on display until August only. *double sigh

P.S. Loving this show called AKIBATTERU?. I've seen 3 episodes so far (each running no longer than 10 minutes). It's basically all about Akihabara/Akiba and its "culture". Very entertaining to watch especially if you're an otaku... or a poser, like me. v(--,)

I was in cooking mode this afternoon, and tried making one of my fave things to eat... siomai. When I was in college, me and my friends frequently snacked on it. We paired it with puso (cooked rice wrapped in coconut leaves). Across from our school was a very small place which was popular for their tasty siomai. The place was always packed especially at noon time.

Anyway, it really wasn't that difficult to make and the ingredients are pretty simple. I got the recipe from the TFC's program, Life Pinoy Style.

Click here for the complete recipe and cooking intructions.

I've never been so angry at work... it felt like I was going to have an aneurysm.
That lady sure knew how to push my buttons.
So not looking forward to working again tonight...

Saw Pixar's latest computer-animated movie, UP, last night. Boy, what a blast!!! The funniest movie I've seen since I-can't-remember-when. We were just giggling and laughing the whole time. I really enjoyed it. And it was more fun watching the movie in 3-D.

I love this song very much. It's one of my faves from ART-SCHOOL.
I really shouldn't be singing a sad song on this very special day. But I just feel like it, so what the heck.
And I'm the type of person who's drawn to sadness.
Anything sad, I find beautiful (emo much?).

I live even today
with these decayed feelings

I don't really care, but one time
I'd like to try to smile from the bottom of my heart

It was painful and I ran away
If it's my heart, that's long since burned down
Groveling is shameful
but that's how I think today

Creeping about like an insect
I breathe like a machine

I don't really care, but one time
I'd like to try to be in love with someone so much I could die

Always pretending,
I'm dying like I'm living

Groveling is shameful
but that's how I think today

I want to be in love

Every time I struggle
with these decayed feelings, I fade a bit

I don't really care, but one time
I'd like to try to smile from the bottom of my heart

It was painful and I ran away
If it's my heart, that's long since burned down
Groveling is shameful
but that's how I think today

I want to smile

And happy birthday to me. Gosh, I'm gettiing old...

THE RABBIT IN THE MOON
from the book, Japanese Children's Favorite Stories

Once the Old-Man-of-the-Moon looked down into a big forest on the earth. He saw a rabbit, a monkey and a fox living there together in the forest as very good friends.

"Now, I wonder which of them is the kindest," said the Old Man to himself. "I think I'll go down and see."

So he changed himself into an old beggar and came down from the moon to the forest where the three friends were.

*Very touching. Sometimes I wish life's like these kinds o
f stories: selfless acts, good overcoming evil, and happily-ever-afters. That would be really nice...

Takeshi Hosomi...
The Hiatus
will be releasing their 1st album, Trash We'd Love, later this month!!! Woohoo!! And I think they're currently on tour, I'm not really sure. Hmmm... wonder what kind of music he and his new band made. I couldn't find the songs on the internet, and it's not on their website either (probably missed it??).

I'm glad that he's back into the music scene. I'm also excited to hear him sing new songs. When I became a fan of Ellegarden, they were already "taking a break" . I was a bit disappointed with myself, I wished I knew about them a long time ago. And if I only came to America 2 months earlier, I would've seen them live (on March 23, they were in Chicago for the 2006 Japan Nite US Tour).

Anyway, must have a copy asap but darn it, I'm so broke rig
ht now... (--')

I just submitted an entry in [info]ourbedrooms, an lj community where you can post and share photos of your bedroom. The response has been good so far... よかった!!(^_^)

Didn't make drastic changes, the room still looks the same. I just added a little bit of knickknacks here and there, and changed my bed linens. I also bought a bookcase (which I badly needed)... and voila!!

I maybe lazy but when it comes to my bedroom, I really work hard to keep it clean and organize. After all, it's where I spend 60% of my day.

Just went out to buy some candies, and I wish I never did.
It's over 80 degrees outside. I was melting!!
As the temperature rises, so do the gas prices ($2.15 in our town).
People are now parading their sports cars and bikes.
Behind me was a crimson BMW convertible, with the headlights turned on on broad daylight!
A few garage sales in the neighborhood.
Ah, spring!! Everything just comes back to life!

dramacrazy.com just released the 1st episode of Smile!!! Almost made me jump out of bed. It's not yet subbed, but I can wait. *grinning from ear to ear

They also have 3 or 4 new drama releases. I like Hancho 'coz I like Sasaki Kuranosuke. He was in Giragira (luuuuv that drama) and also in Triangle. I like his smiling face and his calm attitude. I really think that playing good-guy roles suit him best.

This week, I've finished watching...
  • Arifureta Kiseki: A very good drama (and if Ryo Kase's in it, I'll watch it).
  • Triangle: I finally figured out who the murderer was in the second-to-the-last episode. I was right. (--,)
  • Galileo (movie): Saw the series and the special episode last year. This is one of of my favorite detective dramas. The endiing was just sad, i cried buckets (no kidding).

Still waiting for the more episode-releases of...
  • Kami no Shizuku
  • Kiina
  • Pandora
  • Tenchijin: NHK's Taiga drama for 2009. You can watch it at mysoju.com but they only have episodes 2-4 and the 1st one is missing. And now the drama is on it's 2nd season. I'm way behind...

And can't wait for...
  • Konkatsu!
  • Shiroi Haru
  • BOSS: Takenouchi Yutaka + Tamayama Tetsuji in one drama... is much like Shun Oguri + Haruma Muira together in Crows Zero II.*faints

Before, I rarely eat breakfast. I think I started skipping it when I was in college. I never had the time 'coz classes started early. But if the food was already prepared by the time I woke up, then that would have been a different story.

Anyway, since I started working the night shift, breakfast has become my supper. Every time I come home from work, I look forward to a decent meal. Sometimes I "cook" (if there are no more leftovers), buy food from outside, or eat at a nearby restaurant with my associates after work.

Did you know that turkey meat makes you sleepy? You have to eat it with an empty stomach though for it to be effective... really!!

BUT HOW COME I'M NOT FEELING SLUMBERY YET??? (O_O)

Along with the blossoming of the sakura, these treats are also coming out this month:

April 5: Nintendo DSi

I'm broke but I definitely have to have this one! Unfortunately, the color I want (white) won't be available here in the US. I'm thinking about pre-ordering it from outside the country, but it'll be too much of a hassle (tax + shipping and handling). It's coming out in 4 days and I'm still undecided...

April 7: Black Heart Inertia

Incubus will be releasing their latest single, Black Heart Inertia, on the 7th. Their greatest hits album, Monuments and Melodies, will come out on June. And the band had just announced that they'll be going on tour this summer. They will be in Chicago on the the 21st of July. I'm a BIG fan of Incubus!! It's my dream to see them live, but I'll be out of the country around that time (wrong timing... sucks).

April 11: Crows Zero II

Oh Shun Oguri, are you going to steal my heart again?? You were great in Crows Zero... すごいね!! I really, really love that yanki-side of you. How I wish I'm in Japan to see you kick some ass on the big screen *sigh. And Haruma Miura too...

April 17: Smile

Like what I wrote on my previous entry, the plot is interesting but what gets me more excited is that Shun Oguri will also be in it. I think this is the 4th time that Shun and Jun Matsumoto starred in a drama together (first was in Gokusen, then in Hana Yori Dango 1 & 2). Darn, why can't I see this on cable or something??
